Censoring the Word "Retarded"
I've been a big fan for a long time and flew from Melbourne Australia to your litecoin party in San Francisco and plan on flying over again for Las Vegas.
I feel your an interesting, intelligent and insightful man but your narrow mindedness when it comes to throwing words around like retard truly offend me and I would assume a lot of others. You may just say oh well snowflake get over it but I couldn't be further from someone who would easily be offended. I understand it is a term you have always used and in a way that is joking between friends but that doesn't make it right and you out of all people I would have thought would understand why.
Surely just because you are American and born with the god given right to bare arms and have freedom of speech also give you the right to be racist, homophobic and a bigot. So because you can just jokingly call people a retard can you also just call someone gay because they seem different or a Nigger? These words were used as offensive and derogatory terms towards a group or generation of people and as long as it's joking now it's meant to be ok to say?
I think we have come far enough to realize it's not up to people who are completely unrelated to these terms to decide if they should be used and if they are offensive or not.
I completely understand it's not meant as disrespective but in a society we evolve and our history should show us that just because we said or done something in the past that doesn't make it right to still be doing it?
It's our intelligent leaders like yourself that should lead from the front in equality and change on all fronts not just your chosen field The Road To Roota.
Anyway sorry to take up your time but felt disappointed to hear your rant on this matter.

Thanks for this but I really don't agree and here's why.
I refuse to adjust my use of language based on how the world is "evolving" because that's an easy way for our controllers to suppress and steer humanity us anywhere they wish to take us. And that's exactly what they are doing! Of course it's the context of any word used that's important but I don't think censorship of speech in ANY WAY is an evolution of humanity but rather a huge "Devolution."
If the word "retarded" has become one of the trigger words in the new paradigm of what is correct to say then so be it. I don't buy into it and I don't think anyone with a critical mind should adjust their language as to not offend those that are demanding that change. If our "language puppet masters" that determine what's right and wrong are so dead set on differentiating the context of the word "retarded" that I've used my whole life then they should have invented a new word to use! If they don't like people using the word retarded in a certain context they should advocate words like "Mentally Handicapped" or "Intellectually Deficient." They should not ask me to adjust my speech as that's another attempt to stifle free speech. If we bend over for the new "evolution of language" how long do you think it take them to make saying the word "retarded" and crime punishable by death?
Luckily, the most beautiful part of this human experience is that we all have free will to make our own choices. I exercise that Right everyday and I would highly suggest others do the same. I am not infringing upon anyone else's free will by using the word retarded in the context that I have always used it.
