The CFTC Announcement Means Nothing

The CFTC Announcement Means Nothing

Bix Weir

I've had many people email me about the CFTC announcement today that they may delay the implementation of position limits.

This means nothing in our battle and we should continue putting pressure on them.

So what's the reason for the delay?

The CFTC does not want to be THE CAUSE of the pending market implosion so I doubt very much that they will disrupt the markets BEFORE the banks blow themselves up... and us with them. All the changes at the CFTC are focused around resuming trading after a Creative Destruction Event that erases all of the lopsided positions.

After the crash I'd expect the CFTC to implement a regulatory environment even more draconian...something along the lines of what I suggested to them a few months back:

New CFTC Gold/Silver Regulations

We need to keep everything in perspective. The coming crash is bigger than the CFTC, JP Morgan, the exchanges, the markets...all of it. It will wipe the slate clean of both electronic debt and electronic assets. Blame must fall squarely on the backs of the Bad Guys.

Then we can start fresh.
